- Possess, as the highest certificate acquired, either the Electrical Installation Work-Advanced craft (Course "C") certificate, or the Electrical Engineering Technician part 11 Certificate
- In addition to the above, show evidence of having successfully completed either the Electrical Institution Work Intermediate Craft (Course "B") or the Electrical Engineering Technician Part 1 course
- Possess the Basic Educational Certificate Examination (BECE) certificate
