Meridian Port Services Ltd (MPS) in seeking to recruit qualified, competent and interested Mobile Harbour Crane Operators to join the operations department of the company.Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the operations manager, he/she will be responsible am...ong others for operating the Mobile Harbour Crane container handling equipment.Major Accountabilities
- Among other duties, conduct pre-operational safety checks on the mobile harbour crane (MHC) accordance with to MPS policies and procedures and report defects.
- Operate the MHC as directed by the Supervisor and / or equipment controller to maximize terminal productivity.
- Ensure continuous operations with a hot seat changeover at shift changeover at shift changeover times.
- Actively promote safety culture and awareness at all times and ensures a safe workplace policy.Qualification And Experience
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) in mechanical / Electronic Engineering or motor vehicle technician part III or its equivalent.
- Previous experience in mobile harbour crane or vessel crane operation.
- Ability to communicate using two-way radio system.
- Understanding of safety requirements for the driving og heavy vehicles within a disciplined environment.
- Current applicable driving license.
